WHEN I CREATE style sheets for my client newspapers, the standard headline style sheets (in this case, Arno Bold Display through Arno Semibold Display) are usually set up at 16 point.
That’s a good median size.
I encourage my clients to create the headline in that size, whatever the specific font, and then adjust the size up or down for the specific headline.
With 36 as the norm, it’s a very quick few hits with a keyboard shortcut to go up to 48 point..or down to 24.
