I ADMIT IT: I love to hate Helvetica. Yes, I understand its importance and its impact on design during the past half-century. But it’s just so…bland. It’s a fluorescent light fixture: bright, cold…and everywhere (or “ubiquitous,” if you read last week’s hint).
Still, Helvetica is a powerful part of all graphic design. But there are other typefaces that have their influence, too.
PETER TOMASZEWICZ is a “motion graphics designer” who creates amazing videos. Here’s a short one…so short that you may want to loop it a few times. Yeah, it’s that intriguing. Enjoy.
