But the reason I most want to share it? Look at the placement of the captions.
As I was working on this page today, I realized I still hear your echo. You told me it is hard for the reader to read captions clustered together in one giant lump on a page: ABOVE, ABOVE LEFT, CENTER, BELOW.
Just put the cutline below or side-saddle for goodness sakes. It can still look nice, right?
Yep. It can still look nice. And you’ve helped the reader. Instead of having to traipse back-and-forth all over the page, the reader can check out the caption for each photo…right there, with the photo.
So, you’ve created a good photo page…and one that’s easy to follow.
Now…that’s doing good design!
