NEWSPAPERING is a serious business. We strive constantly to get the story right. Fair. Accurate. Balanced. Every i dotted. Every t crossed.
And that’s as is should be. After all, what we say and how we say it can have a strong and lasting impact on our readers and our community.
But sometimes it’s OK to just have fun.
The headline above is a wonderful example. It’s a screenshot from the movie “Miracle on 34th Street.” The 1947 original, with Maureen O’Hara, John Payne, and Edmund Gwenn as Kris Kringle.
When I saw this headline, I just knew I had to share it with you.
Consider it an early Christmas gift.
