12.08.16: Get stylish
OUCH! It hurts when I hear someone say:
“Style sheets? What’s a style sheet?”
They’ve been working in InDesign for some years, and they have to reformat type (or save some in the pasteboard and overwrite it) with every issue.
What they don’t know is that they can create paragraph and character style sheets (and more…much more!) in InDesign. Once created, those style sheets make formatting a breeze.
Style sheets are major time savers. Those who work without them are taking much more time to assemble a page than necessary. And that’s time they could spend on other parts of the newspapering process.
Yes, most of you know style sheets, I’m sure. But some don’t.
If you don’t, go online to the InDesign site, where you can learn more about how style sheets work and how you can set them up. Once you begin to use style sheets, you’ll never go back.
And…you’ll thank me for it!
