I’M NOT SURE what—if anything—these little posters have to do with design. But I just couldn’t resist the temptation to share these with you.
I AM SOOOO PROUD of the good people at the Navajo Times. The Times was recently named the best newspaper in Arizona. Best! General Excellence! Can’t do any better than that. I redesigned the Navajo Times last year and I’m happy to say the redesign had a lot to do with the award.
Thank you to the people at the Navajo Times. Thank you for your hard work. Thank you for letting me be a part of your success.
I’M BEGINNING TO THINK John McIntyre and I were separated at birth. He and I agree on what it takes to be a writer…and especially what it takes to be a good editor. He and I also agree that you don’t have to be liked to be a good teacher. If you’re an editor and/or writer, you’re gonna love this video. If you’re not an editor and/or writer, you may learn about how to learn.
Grab that cup of coffee, go to full screen…and give John McIntyre six minutes of your time. It’s well worth it!
OHIO ARTIST Christian Faur likes to play with crayons. Actually, it’s hard work doing what he does.
Faur creates large portraits, using crayons as pixels.
Here’s a time-lapse video of Faur at work:

YES, IT’S GOOD to know we designers are superheroes…even if our only weapon is a keyboard and our only sustenance a cup of black coffee.
