01.03.18: Small is good
YOUR NAMEPLATE is your brand. It’s the unique symbol of who you are and what you stand for. Of course, you want to display it at its best.
But is big best?
I think not.
A nameplate that stretches across the page can become too big. Depending on visual elements downpage, it can dominate Page 1, but not in a good way. A nameplate that’s too large (top) just feels heavy and overstated.
My advice: bring the size of the nameplate down a bit. Give it some air — an inch or so will do — on either side (bottom). Let it breathe. A nameplate with some space on either side appears more planned, more quiet, more elegant.
